MJB Fine Art Gallery & Artist Matthew Baxter are proud to announce a new art form that will be added to the galley besides oil paintings & drawings. Now proudly introducing for the very first time... Stained Glass.
This is the first ever stain-glass piece made by the artist (Matthew Baxter). It measures 14"x 36" and has a custom made frame (not pictured) also made by the artist. This particular artwork is "SOLD".
If you would like your own customized stain-glass artwork please contact MJB Fine Art Gallery at mjbfineartgallery@gmail.com.
Please know that stained glass materials are extremely expensive and the artist's cost to make this owl was around $700. The retail cost would be tripled at $2,100.00, but prices can be negotiated. This would give you a pretty good idea of the cost associated to make the stained glass at this size (which is a large piece at 3ft tall). Prices would vary based on size, materials, complexity (of the design) and shipping.
Additionally to note, Cathedral (see through) glass is cheaper (10"x10" sheet is about $8-$12 each, depending on color) than the Opaque glass (which is $12-$15 for a 10"x10" sheet, depending on color). This owl & books was made from many different opaque glass colors, but the background glass surrounding the owl is one color Cathedral glass.
