"Copper Mountain" was a commission completed for a client using the client's family vacation photograph. The Artist Matthew Baxter built the linen canvas and the frame. It is an oil on canvas, 11" x 14", using M. Graham oil paints with walnut oil. Yes, you can select the brand of paint you wish to use and the artist has many of them.
The linen canvas was glued down to Premium MDF hardwood (sealed in acrylic clear-coat) using a PH neutral book binding glue. This is to ensure the longevity of the painting because acidic glues will wear out over time or they may eat through the linen canvas. The stretcher bars are made from premium pinewood and so was the frame. This is the very first landscape painting ever (successfully) done by the artist. The artist also used a wood burning tool to create messages and images within the frame. This was the first time the Artist has ever used a wood burning technique in his artwork.
